Isparta University of Applied Sciences undergoes a process of reorganization in 2018 in which some of its faculties, departments, and units are divided. The origins of the university date back to the establishment of the Isparta Vocational School in 1976. Thereby, Isparta University of Applied Sciences (IUAS) is established in Isparta, Türkiye through the Law No. 7141, titled “The Law on Amendments to the Higher Education Law and Certain Other Laws and Decree Laws,” published in the Official Gazette (No. 30425) dated May 18, 2018, and entering into force on the same date.
IUAS has 7 Faculties, 18 Vocational Schools, 1 School of Foreign Languages, and 1 Graduate School. These units, offering associate, bachelor's, master's, and doctorate programs, are located in the city center and district campuses. As a pioneer in the "applied education" concept in Türkiye, the university uses "3+1" (for associate degree) and "7+1" (for undergradute) education models. In these models, students spend one full semester gaining hands-on experience in relevant industries. With strong university-industry partnerships and modern labs, IUAS ensures students graduate as "sought-after professionals" rather than just job seekers. The academic process combines theoretical depth with field experience to increase employability.
IUAS offers extensive research opportunities, including a large library, and provides education in Turkish and English to many international students through global partnerships. The university provides dormitory and cafeteria services, along with orientation events, technical trips, and numerous student clubs. ULÖT, the international student community, works with the IRO (International Relations Office) and Student Affairs to support students via WhatsApp, email, or in person throughout their from pre-registration education process.
