THE STORY OF OUR LOGO
This logo is designed to reflect the vision, core values, and regional identity of the Department of Field Crops, Faculty of Agriculture at Isparta University of Applied Sciences.
The Sun: Situated at the center of the logo, the sun represents science and enlightenment. While symbolizing a future shaped by agricultural knowledge, its rays express the department's contributions and sphere of influence extended to its environment.
The Mountain Silhouette & Agricultural Lands: The mountain silhouette in the background fosters a sense of regional belonging by reflecting the natural landscape of Isparta. The agricultural lands depicted in front of the mountains symbolize the department's hands-on education approach and field-based research.
The Two Spikes of Grain (Wheat Ears): The two spikes of grain framing the logo represent cereals—the very first crops to be domesticated and one of the fundamental building blocks of agriculture—while simultaneously symbolizing labor, production, and abundance. Their position enclosing the design demonstrates that the department places these values at its core.
The Year "1994": Located at the bottom, the year "1994" marks the foundation year of the department. This date represents the rich knowledge, heritage, and experience carried forward from the past to the present.
The Color Palette: The shades of blue utilized in the outer frame and typography serve as an indicator of trust, academic discipline, and institutional stance.
In this logo, an elegant and minimalist visual language has been carefully crafted to convey the scientific productivity, nature-harmonious approach, and deeply rooted history of the Department of Field Crops.
