Our department, which was established in 1998, started accepting students in the 2002-2003 academic year. Consisting of a single department, the department is a branch of science that integrates biology and engineering principles in the production of plant and animal products in agriculture, the storage and processing of these products, and the planning, projecting and construction of building and infrastructure systems to increase the living standards of the community living in rural areas.
Basic research topics; Water consumption of various plants, determination of irrigation programs and water-yield relationships, comparison of different irrigation methods, irrigation, drainage and structural problems of greenhouses, improvement of saline and alkaline soils, ensuring optimum indoor environmental control, projecting and operating methods of animal shelters under optimum conditions.
